This is what healthy feels like on most days! How does it feel to you?
To be completely honest, I didn’t always feel this way.
Even though I love fitness and nutrition, exercise and eating right have not always been an easy road for me. I gain weight easily and in my early 20s, I spent most of my days either overweight or yo-yo dieting without much success.
For me, losing weight, discovering how to make the right food choices, and learning how to lift weights and exercise properly has taken me on a years-long journey of experimentation, trials, success, and even failure. I launched Blue River Health and Wellness to help others who have struggled in the same ways I have struggled before. My book, REVAMP Your Health, is about this journey, how to avoid the mistakes I made trying to lose weight, and teaches you exactly what to do (and not to do) to become the healthiest version of yourself possible.
I’m still learning each and every day about foods, my body, different methods of exercise, and even about topics such as holistic nutrition, muscle recovery, mobility, and pre/post natal health and fitness. That’s what I feel separates me from many others–my desire to learn and grow as a person and to share my knowledge with you is what drives my passion to make Blue River one of the best coaching programs dedicated to helping people like me, and like you.
I’ve Lost and Gained…
Throughout my struggles with weight, I’ve learned more about health, fitness, nutrition, and exercise than I ever expected. I’ve built strength and lost fat. I went from being the fat kid to being the inspiration for both friends and family.
My journey has not been easy, but that’s exactly why I want to coach you–to make your journey simple so that you can learn from all I’ve been through. I have spent years educating myself about health and fitness, foods and workouts, training and coaching. And maybe most importantly, after so much trial and error, I didn’t just find success; I finally found myself again. I found strength, encouragement, ability, and confidence.

My total-body approach for nutrition and wellness coaching is built upon all that I’ve learned over the past 15 years and is built upon the foundation in which I live my life now. I work with clients to help them discover the reasons they are not feeling healthy in their body and create a plan that is simple to implement into their busy lives. I believe it is the small changes we make every day that really create big differences.
My clients learn about the foods their bodies need, the sleep they’re missing out on, and the body-confidence they didn’t know that they already had. They share with me their excitement over new recipes or new PRs in the gym. They find more energy in their day and learn that they have enough time to enjoy the things they love to do. They also can’t believe how easy it is to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle after trying so hard for so many years to achieve this goal.
I enjoy taking the struggle out of being healthy and helping clients ease their way into a new lifestyle. You do not have to feel overwhelmed at the thought of creating new habits; I am here to support you on your journey to your healthiest life where everything and anything is possible.

A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT ME…
I grew up on a cow and chicken farm in the small town of Churchville, Virginia. Our high school population topped off at 400 students and I absolutely loved living the country life–learning how to feed cows and chickens, collecting (and eating!) the eggs, and relishing in home-grown tomatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and cucumbers diced fresh.
I now live in a slightly bigger college town (go Dukes!) and my family and friendships mean the world to me. There is nothing I love more in this world than my husband and my daughter. I met my husband when I was trying how to learn to be a healthier, fitter person, and he not only helped me learn about the process, but he is the one who encouraged me to pursue my dreams of helping others learn the same. Now we have a beautiful daughter in which I feel so incredibly blessed to be her mom! She is my new motivation and I want her to grow up a healthy little girl with the best role model mom that I can be.
I love writing, photography, and travel. While one of my favorite things to do is curl up on the couch with my daughter and a good book, I also love to binge on Netflix, romantic comedies (Hallmark movies especially–even though they all have the same plot), and action-mystery thrillers. I have a slight obsession for coffee, and my favorite date night includes visiting a winery or one of our local breweries. There’s nothing wrong with making your favorite foods and drinks a part of your healthy lifestyle!
I can honestly say that I am an incredibly happy and blessed person. While it’s been a long journey to get to this point in my life, I truly love where the path has led me, and especially getting to do what I do in helping others and getting to know all of the amazing people who come into my life.
